Pubs in Gower
Gower is full of friendly local pubs where you can get a drink, eat some great food and often sit outside on a balmy sunny day...
The Greyhound Inn
The 19th Century Greyhound Inn is close to Bryngwyn, situated at the end of Llanridhian on the way to Llangenith, and is the only pub on the Gower which allows the use of the Electronic Cigarette. At the pub you can enjoy great food, much of which is grown or caught locally, including Gower Sea Bass and salt marsh lamb. You can enjoy real ale, perhaps while sitting out in the large garden while the children play on swings.
For more information, visit the Greyhound Inn website.
The North Gower
Also a hotel, the North Gower is located virtually opposite Bryngwyn as you enter Llanrhidian, and is set in an acre of gardens.
The Brittannia

More commonly known to the locals as "The Brit", this pub is set in the village of Llanmadoc and offers superb views over the estuary and Whitford Burrows. If you do visit, make sure to check out their excellent food menu!
If you walk a little up the road, you'll also find that you can cut through some houses to a steep hill. Walking down the hill will bring you the marsh where you can choose to either walk towards Whitford Burrows over a sea wall or take a trip through Cheriton Woods.
The Worm's Head Hotel
The Worm's Head Hotel is situated by the car park at the fabulous Worm's Head, which juts out into the sea right by the incredibly long Llanngenith beach - which is perhaps why it made it number 11 of the 50 best views in the world. Although primarily a hotel, its also a welcome stopping off place for a drink after a walk on Worm's Head, a surf or a climb to the top of the hill to watch paragliders drifting in the air.
The Kings Head
Many a surfer has had a relaxing drink here after battling the waves in Llanngenith, and as it has been rated in the top ten of British pubs by the Sunday Times Magazine, that's not a bad choice. Situated opposite PJ's surf shop in the village of Llanngenth, the pub offers food both inside and out.
The Dolphin Inn
This charming old pub is located in the center of Llanrhidian, opposite the church, and has an excellent garden and play area. The pub also adds snack food and simple pub food - all of which is home cooked. Dishes include cockle and laverbread quiche - a Welsh delicacy! The pub also serves excellent beer.
King Arthur Hotel, Reynoldston
Named for King Arthur's stone, this pub offers occasional entertainment and good pub food in beautiful surroundings in the heart of Gower. A warm welcome, and log fires in the winter make this a charming place to visit, while if you eat in the restaurant or the bar you will find a very good choice of meals - our favourite are the home made soups.
