What to Do
The Gower Peninsula offers a lot of fun and exciting activities all year round and you can be sure you won’t get bored if you decide to take advantage of Gower Holiday Village’s special deals and prolong your stay. And since the Holiday Village is located in the very centre of the peninsula, you don’t have to go far regardless of your favourite outdoor activities. Listed below are only a few things to do just a stone’s throw away from the bungalows:
With the sea and some of the most beautiful beaches in the entire UK in the immediate vicinity, Gower Holiday Village offers easy access to a wealth of water activities including swimming, surfing, windsurfing, scuba diving, boating, sailing, yachting, water skiing and many others.
What an excellent idea to explore the beautiful Gower Peninsula and its greatest attractions! Keep in mind, however, that there are no cycle tracks and that the traffic is quite heavy, especially during the summer season.
Horse Riding and Pony Trekking
Another great way to experience Gower’s natural beauty is to visit the countryside on the horse’s back, especially if you like horse riding. But if you have never ridden a horse before, why not take advantage of your visit to Gower and learn to ride? Also a great idea is to go on pony trekking.
Climbing and Abseiling
If you like climbing or abseiling, the Gower Peninsula will delight you with its rugged hills and coast. So be sure to pack your climbing equipment!
With so many things to explore and experience, and well maintained hike trails leading to all the greatest gems, walking and hiking on the Gower Peninsula is a unique pleasure. So don’t forget your hiking shoes!
The Gower Peninsula is home to two premium golf courses providing an unforgettable golfing experience – the Fairwood Park Golf Club and Gower Golf Club. While Fairwood Park golf course was host to the Welsh PGA Championship on two occasions, the Gower Golf Club is the host to the West Wales Open.
Both championship golf courses are less than 10 miles from Gower Holiday Village and both are open for visitors. But if you can’t find a free tee time during your stay on the peninsula, don’t despair. There are also many other fine golf courses just a short drive from the Holiday Village bungalows.
